Giving a design item on any occasion, and especially at Christmas, is one of the most original ways to be remembered.
Furnishing accessories, technological devices, accessories for the bar corner of our house: any object can become an unforgettable gift thanks to the touch of a good designer.

In fact, the great strength of design is just to make beautiful, particular and prestigious even the most common object.

Timor calendar by Enzo Mari

Designed in 1967, Timor is a perpetual calendar designed by Enzo Mari for Danese Milano, legendary brand of Italian design.

It has all the features of durability, flexibility, washability and versatility guaranteed by plastic.

In fact, it consists of an ABS base with lithographed PVC clamps that can be opened in a fan around a pin that shows month, number and day of the week.

His essential line is the expression of the rigorous thought that Enzo Mari used to apply to all his projects:

I start to work for denial and gradually go on by elimination. My design consists of decanting, trying to eliminate what is useless and false.

Liqueur Glasses by Normann Copenhagen

The iconic set of 2 liqueur glasses by the Danish company Normann Copenhagen has been on the market since 1999.

Since then, the glasses of Normann Copenhagen retain their charm, thanks to their shape that breaks the traditional design rules of this type of article.

This is because, being devoid of a base, once laid on the table, they are free to rotate around their crystal fulcrum, giving the user a multisensory experience.

In fact, thanks to this device, they establish a new way to interact physically with the glass, give a deeper perception of color and movement, and help the spread of the aroma of the liqueur.

Coffee cups by Pantone

The Pantone coffee cups are the successful experiment of the American behemoth to create a combination of two symbols very dear to any designer or color professional.

In fact, on the one hand, coffee is universally the way to wish a good day or, especially in the Anglo-Saxon world, a drink to sip while working at the computer.

On the other hand, for insiders, the Pantone Matching System’s colour palette is not only a work tool, but also a colourful symbol of deep passion for their profession.

Currently, Pantone coffee cups are also available in mug and tea size, also individually.

Bookworm shelf by Kartell

Bookworm shelf is a flexible bookcase designed in 1994 by Israeli designer Ron Arad for Kartell, an Italian design company known all over the world.

Its wavy and sinuous shape, which differs considerably from the perpendicularity of traditional bookcases, has granted Ron Arad the appointment of Designer of the Year of the International Design Yearbook.

Initially marketed in technopolymer, today it is made of PVC, a material even more resistant and flexible, which allows you to attribute to the bookcase any shape you want.

Available in three different lengths, Bookworm by Kartell comes equipped with different book holders.
